HELLO and WELCOME to my World! You just never know....

Hi Guys!  I've written blogs before and quit and restarted...   However, I am gonna start another one.  My plans are to write at least twice a week.  We shall see.  Just about the time, I decide to do something, another "something" gets in the way.  But, here I go.

Gosh, this year, 2024, has been a bust.  I'm not normally a "down" person, but I just can't seem to get "started" with my beads.  Maybe it's because I feel like I've "done all I can", by putting this bead here, or there.  I've created over 600 patterns in 26 years.  Four hundred and seventy-five are online in two places.  I will be 67 this July and goodness, I have so very much I want to create and to do.

So I begin this blog by telling EACH OF YOU how very much I appreciate you.  Your desire to share with me and to share with the World, your creations.  I know that, that has been my desire for you, all these years.  That you can take what I design and share with your loved ones and friends!  Totally my goal....to share and to LOVE!  Because, LOVE IS ALL!

I've been painting and sewing and quilting and leathering....but no beads come to my head.

You see, I work from my heart.  If my heart BURNS with desire, a particular design, I run with it.  I trust God to send these ideas, HIS ideas and I complete them.  I share with you, THESE WORKS, HIS WORKS.  I am just the vessel HE chose to finish things.  If you don't know already, God is a very big part of my life.  I've trusted HIM for many years now.  Over 50 years.

So when I don't especially "feel" an idea, I usually don't force the issue.  I have done that in the past and it never works.  So I've learned how to be patient and to listen and follow HIS path.

So, what I am saying, is that beads are NOT THERE, right now.  My painting and sewing and leathering are front and center.  I have created so very much and my poor family are like, "Mom....STOP!"

I am STOPPING my beadwork for now.  I will be focusing on my painting and fabric goodies.

Since I have created so much, I am going to bring back my online HANDMADE BY MOMMA BEAR goodies.  I will be selling things on this web site.  I love Etsy and I have a wider audience, however the fees over there are crazy high.  I will be offering my goodies to you guys...at a discount and most times, free shipping, to those in the United States.  With things as they are in the World now, I think I will only sell to those who live in the United States.

These will be one-of-a-kind items.  I never create something over and over.  I create what comes to me, most times in my dreams.  So these are very special and one-of-a-kind items.

I hope you will like what I bring to you!  I hope a smile will come for you and for me, ti's God's way of sharing LOVE with you!  I thank YOU and I thank HIM for working through me.  It's very humbling and I am so honored to share with each of you!

I don't do social media. If you see something you like, please share it with others.  I surely aim to please.

I love you guys!  Very much!  You can write to me anytime at:  angelamps1234@msn.com

I'd love to hear from you!

Kisses,

jules

  • So happy you are enjoying your second type of fun. Not many of us are able to do that. I used to cut out my favorite wood pieces and then I would paint them. But after a devastating event, I had to change my creative hobby to another type of hobby that would make me feel happy with myself. I finally settled on making jewelry. It turned into a great hobby I had hope it would work for me. I still can’t work on my jewelry as much as I used to work on wood but at least I can work on my jewelry but it still satisfies my hobby I love now.. Good luck on your next happy hobby! Debbie

  • Hi Jules, This all sounds very exciting. I’m especially interested in your leather work. I’ll have to get back to you later when my life settles down. I haven’t done any beading for a little over a year but I’ll write to you later about that. I’m excited for you but I will miss your beading patterns!!

  • I am always smiling when I see your designs. I see designs by many designers, but somehow yours are always “cheery”. And we can always use some extra cheer in our day. I took advantage of the Free lip Balm cover design. It is going to be me project today. I just finished a big one last night and was thinking I’d do a simple bracelet inset for my grandson, but I saw your lip balm cover pattern and changed my mind.
Thank you so much for all you do for all beaders and the world. I can feel your positive influence rolling out of the screen.
    Love to you, Bethel

  • I WILL be sure to read every one of your posts. They always bring a smile. Your creations are so lovely, bright, and happy.
It is so good to hear about other crafters that are like me. I have been doing crafts for well over 50 years and have tried so many different things over the yrs. I have been primarily beading for about 9 +/- yrs. That is a major record for me but lately I have been itching. Ya know what I mean? Lol So I bought a laser and there it sits :-( Just can’t seem to find a spark.
Tonight I was looking at Thriftybooks and found a leatherworking for beginners AND Tunisian Crochet for beginners books. I Ordered them both. I need a library in my house. If I printed everything I have save electronically it would fill a library lol.
Hope something Sparks for me. When I’m not creating for very long I get bummed and then it’s hard to get started again.
I ADORE your paisley with the heart and the paisley flower on the rock designs.
Look forward to your next post.
