As a young child at Christmas time, we would always have Christmas Eve at Grandma’s house! It was so festive and fun! One memory that I have was Grandma’s Christmas Candy bowl. It was full of fruity ribbon candy, peppermint swirls and wintergreen trees, vanilla cotton crystals and cinnamon red hots. It was always a treat when Grandma would let of us grandkids sit with the bowl and choose a few of our favorite treats! Here is my memory of that bowl! CHRISTMAS CANDY!

I used size 11/0 Delica beads, 4lb Fire Line fishing line and a toggle bar and ring for the closure. For the optional PEARL PICOT trim I used #15-250 Miyuki round seeds in CRYSTAL AB; (30) 2mm CZECH GLASS ROUND PEARLS in FLAMINGO; (16) 2mm CZECH GLASS ROUND PEARLS in SNOW and (16) 2mm CZECH GLASS ROUND PEARLS in OLIVE.

I used 8 different colors for a total of 1675 DELICA beads! There are 17 columns and 197 rows.

The finished size of CHRISTMAS CANDY is 6 1/2 inches by 1 inch which includes the PEARL PICOT trim.

If you need to make your bracelet a bit longer simply continue the striped pattern at each end until you have reached your desired length.

Talking about all this CHRISTMAS CANDY has gotten me into the mood of the season. I wonder if I can go ahead and put up my tree? I just LOVE Christmas!
