You are purchasing a flat ODD count peyote digital pattern....NOT THE ITEM IN THE PHOTO.

KNOWLEDGE of odd count peyote is needed as there are no instructions for the stitch within this pattern.

You will work FLAT, then zip up the piece to form the tube. My beaded covers fit most standard size lip balm tubes such as Burt’s Bees and Blistex. If you find your completed cover to be loose on your lip balm tube, simply add some double stick tape to the balm tube and replace your cover.

On our recent travels to Kansas and back home again, we happened upon this out of the way REST STOP. Inside their gift store was a myriad of SERAPE BLANKETS. OH MY...the colors, the shift of the weave. I was in a designer's Heaven. I tried to simulate the color shifting of the loom and imagined the many folks who created these lovely SERAPE BLANKETS!

Work as a FLAT odd count peyote pattern and add the optional PICOT trim BEFORE you zip up the two ends to form a tube.

I stitched the original using a size 12 beading needle, 4lb FireLine fishing line, size 11/0 Delica beads and Miyuki size15/0 round seed beads in SILVER LINED LIGHT BLUSH (#15-23) for the optional PICOT trim.

I used 11 colors making 37 columns and 66 rows using a total of 1221 beads.

The cover as designed measures 2 3/4 inches around by a 1 7/8 inches tall, lying flat!

You can sure stay cozy up in your SERAPE BLANKET! Feel the warmth!!
