You will work FLAT, then zip up the piece to form the tube. My beaded covers fit most standard size lip balm tubes such as Burt’s Bees and Blistex. If you find your completed cover to be loose on your lip balm tube, simply add some double stick tape to the tube and replace your cover.

Work as a FLAT odd count peyote pattern and I would recommend adding the PICOT trim AFTER you zip up the back of your lip tube cover. I stitched the original using a size 12 beading needle, 4lb FireLine fishing line, size 11/0 Delica beads.
For the optional PICOT trim, I used size 15/0 round Miyuki seed beads in, SILVER LINED CRYSTAL, #15-1. See the last page for trim placement.
I used 7 colors making 37 columns and 66 rows using a total of 1221 beads.
The cover as designed measures 2 3/4 inches around by a 1 7/8 inches tall, lying flat!
