Knowledge of odd count peyote is needed as no instructions for this stitch are given within the pattern.
I love Chihuahua’s. I’ve had several in my lifetime. There was Emma, my first. She was part Chi/Doxie. Then there was Toby, a lovely fellow we rescued! Now I have Fred. We call him Fred Mertz. Fred is part Jack Russell and Chihuahua! He is a honey! In this design, I captured FRED on one of our many CHI CHI Walks! I AM SO IN LOVE...
I have used Miyuki size 11/0 DELICA beads; 4lb Fire Line fishing line and a long beading needle to stitch with a toggle bar and ring for the closure. For the optional PICOT trim, I used size 15/0 Miyuki round seeds in SILVER LINED CRYSTAL, #15-1.
I used 11 different DELICA bead colors for a total of 1675 beads! There are 17 columns and 197 rows.
The finished size of CHI CHI WALK is 6 5/8 inches by 1 inch which includes the trim. If you need to
lengthen your bracelet, you could simply stop the design and used DELICA #041 at each end; or you could continue working the pattern, the blues, green grass and silver dot and you would need to work it at each end.
Fred and I will continue to take many walks out here by the Lake! What a Buddy and Friend I have in my Fred-Fred! I hope you enjoy this design, created in love for our Furry Friends!
