PEYTWIST is a wonderful stitch created by Gerlinde Lenz. What a marvelous way to simulate bead crochet! I give her thanks for her outstanding technique and her kindness in sharing with us all.
Knowledge of PEYTWIST (Peyote With A Twist, Not Crochet) is needed to create this design, as no instructions are given on how to stitch it here in this pattern. I acknowledge that there are wonderful tutorials on youtube.com. I taught myself how to do this stitch by watching a few of these videos.
This pattern was created from a SPECIAL REQUEST! My version of a LEOPARD PRINT. A design that is very
casual and being very neutral this would stand against any sequin gown for evening wear. Take you pick, dressy or casual this design really captures the spirit of the wild!
i made a bracelet from the pattern but I do see this as a necklace draped with SWAROVSKI crystals and a simple chain! OH so sweet!
I used MIYUKI size 11/0 round seed beads (not DELICA beads), 6lb. Fire Line fishing line, a long beading, end caps, 3/16th OD vinyl tubing for inside the peyote and a toggle bar and ring for the closure.
Within the pattern you will find a color graph and a Word Chart to work from. I also have added 2 pages of tips that I learn from while stitching the remarkable PEYTWIST stitch.
