Knowledge of odd count peyote is needed as no instructions for this stitch are given within the pattern.
After 25 years and over 600 bead patterns, you kind of find the most obscure places to find a bead design. You might laugh when I tell you where this idea comes from. Ok? Ready? The cable television show, WEEDS. Yes, their theme song is called "LITTLE BOXES". Ok, I know I’m weird, but I certainly "saw" the pattern many moons ago when I watched the series on the television. I hope you enjoy it!
I always use 4lb Fire Line fishing line to stitch; a long, size 12 beading needle; size 11/0 Delica beads; size 15/0 Miyuki round seed beads for the optional trim and end loops. I added a toggle bar and ring for the closure.
For the optional PICOT trim, I used size 15/0 Miyuki round seeds in SILVER LINED CRYSTAL, (#15-1).
I used 9 different DELICA bead colors for a total of 1641 beads! There are 17 columns and 193 rows.
The finished size of LITTLE BOXES is 6 1/2 inches long by just a bit over 1 inch wide which includes the trim.
If you need to lengthen your bracelet, continue with the pattern at each end, keeping with the design, until you have reached your desired length.
